35 injured as taxi, bus collide in Lenasia

Johannesburg - Thirty-five people were injured when a taxi and a bus collided on the K43, in Lenasia on Saturday, paramedics said.

ER24 spokesperson Derrick Banks said passengers from both vehicles sustained neck and back injuries as well as cuts and bruises.

It was unclear what caused the accident but paramedics arrived at the scene to find a part of the taxi squashed under the bus.

    Its heartbreaking that these poor people have to put their lives at risk because they have no other means of transport. My heart goes out to them.

    this taxi drivers they do as they wish on the road. they don't obey traffic rules.

    The slaughter by the Taxi operators continues.Of the approx 14000 deaths on our roads each year,how many are directly taxi related?What are the stats...anyone know?

      Rigged anyway...JMPD the Most useless and non visible service department In The country. When I was an 18 year old driving on the jhb roads in the 70s and 80s at least when I was stopped and fined I learnt something from it. Now today they stop me and try to fine me I tell them to go for it . No bribe and no ticket cause they are too lazy to write it up.
