360 people arrested in Jhb

Johannesburg - Three hundred and sixty people were arrested for various crimes over the weekend in central Johannesburg, Gauteng police said on Monday.
Police spokesperson Bhekizizwe Mavundla said the arrests took place during an intensified crime-combating operation in Hillbrow, Braamfontein, Berea and Joubert Park.
Four men between the ages of 20 and 40 were arrested for possession of drugs such as cocaine rocks and powder in small packages for the street market.
Police identified spots for drug-selling as being Tudhope, Saratoga, Prospect and Fife Streets in Berea and Esellen Street in Hillbrow.
Other arrests were for street robberies, fraud, damage to property and minor crimes.
Those arrested would appear shortly in the Johannesburg and Hillbrow Magistrate's Courts, police said.
