3rd man arrested for MP's murder
Polokwane - A third man arrested in connection with the murder of Congress of the People MP Jack Tolo appeared in the Sekhukhune Magistrate's Court on Friday, Limpopo police said.
Peter Piet Ditshego, 30, was denied bail and would appear in court with his two co-accused on November 30, Brigadier Hangwani Mulaudzi said.
The Hawks arrested him in Mamelodi, east of Pretoria, on Thursday after "intensive and painstaking police investigations", he said.
Ditshego, Frans Matola, 33, and Solomon Nkosi, 41, each face one count of murder, four counts of kidnapping, one count of robbery with aggravating circumstances, and one count of malicious damage to property.
They are accused of murdering Tolo at his home in Ga-Masha, Sekhukhune, on August 21.
In the attack, six men tied up Tolo's family, shot him, and demanded money and cash, jewellery, and cellphones. "The police are hot on the heels of the remaining three suspects who are still on the run," said Mulaudzi.
