Polokwane - Four men were arrested for rhino poaching in Hoedspruit on Thursday, Limpopo police said.

They were found in possession of two horns, said Brigadier Hangwani Mulaudzi.

A carcass was also discovered in the area around the time of their arrest. Two rifles and an axe found in their possession were seized.

The group, aged between 25 and 35, have also been linked to the poaching of a rhino and a calf last week.

They are due to appear in court next week.

Glad they were caught - a bit too late for the rhinos though !

Lock them in a small enclosure with a rhino cow and her calf. No guns, no machetes, lets see why a rhino has a horn.

I agree place all in isolation but secure a machete to the rhino's horn so that these b..tards can feel what the rhinos have to endure!

It is really time for some kind of "Emergency Law" in this regard. Mandatory minimum sentence of 15 years and a maximum of 30 years. The prison population will not rise much as only a few are involved in the eradication of our heritage and the senseless slaughter of these animals.
