Johannesburg - The four people who were burnt beyond recognition after their vehicle rammed into a tree on the N5 freeway near Kestell have been identified, Free State police said on Sunday.
Inspector Mmako Mophiring said the four were identified as Tsietsi Paulus Hoyi, 43, Elias Tjelele, 59, Ramatsekela Johannes Matla, 24, and Johannes Radebe, whose age has not been confirmed.
The four were killed after the car they were travelling in to QwaQwa veered out of control on the N5 early on Saturday morning and hit a tree.
The vehicle caught fire and all its occupants were burnt to death.
The occupants were all from the Free State.
