Johannesburg - Three men and a teenage boy were arrested for gang-raping an 11-year-old girl and keeping her hostage in a house in Katlehong for a week, Gauteng police said on Friday.
Superintendent Andy Pieke said the four - 15, 23 and two of them 25 - abducted the child from Vosloorus and held her from May 1 to May 7.
"She alleges that in this time she was raped by nine men," said Pieke.
"Investigations are continuing to trace the other suspects."
The four are among seven people arrested for rape in the East Rand on Thursday and Friday. They are scheduled to appear in Alberton magistrate's court on Friday of next week.
Other arrests included a 30-year-old man who allegedly raped a 32-year-old woman in Katlehong on May 12.
Two other teenagers, aged 17 and 18, were arrested for a rape in the township in March.
