Durban - The case against four people arrested for possession of illegal arms and ammunition was postponed to April 1 by the Pinetown Magistrate’s Court on Monday.

Derrick Coetzee, Bythe Cotterill, Christina Coycolazas and Joycelyn Niekerk were arrested at a house in Westville, Durban, after two short guns, eight rifles and 63 000 rounds of ammunition were found.

According to earlier reports, these were earmarked to help fight Somali pirates, but were instead illegally diverted to the local arms trade.

The case was adjourned for further investigation and ballistics reports.

Short guns? - Are they for short people?!! Or is it just our normal poor standard of written English, when it should have been shot guns.

Short guns?? Guns in bermuda shorts , guns with short barrels, dwarf guns. A new invention??? ;-)

Shot guns! Not "short" guns. Nou moet hulle lewenslank in die tronk gaan sit omdat hulle wou help om die seerowery te beveg? Lees weer asseblief. Moenie lees wat julle wil lees nie. Lees wat daar staan.
