Johannesbur - Four people, including two children, were killed in an accident on the R30 near Welkom in the Free State on Saturday, paramedics said.

The driver had lost control of the car before it veered from the road and rolled several times, Netcare 911 spokesperson Jeffrey Wicks said.

"Several people had been flung from the rolling wreck. Two children and two adults were declared dead on the scene."

He said three injured people had been taken by ambulance to the Bongani State Hospital.

7 people in a car? Makes safe driving difficult. A sad loss anyway...

Yes, including 2 children probably on laps. Quite normal. May their souls rest in peace.

When will the traffic authorities realise that 75% of the drivers on our roads are being taught from a young age,by taxi drivers. Think about it,they are exposed to the habits of taxi drivers ,and eventually it becomes a norm. If we don’t sort out the taxi drivers things will only get worse
