Durban - Five people were - including a teacher - were arrested for forging school reports in Kwamashu, KwaZulu Natal police said on Tuesday.

Spokesperson Kepu Ndlovu said two pupils went to apply for grade 11 and 12 at a private college in Durban.

The principal of the private college suspected that the reports were fake and called the police," he said.

Police arrived at the school and questioned the 18-year-old boy and the 17-year-old girl as to where they had obtained the reports.

"The teenagers pointed the police to another man in Springfield who led them to a teacher in Kwamashu in the Siyanda area," he said.

Police arrived at the teacher's home and found more reports in his garage. A woman collecting money for the reports was also arrested, Ndlovu said.
