Cape Town - Five people were arrested for dealing in "tik" after police found R1.2m worth of the drug on them at a Cape Town shopping mall on Tuesday.
Police spokesperson Inspector Bernadine Steyn said four males and a 51-year-old woman were arrested around 14:00 outside a shopping mall in Kenilworth.
"Some of the suspects have been evading arrest for a long time," Steyn said.
They had four kilograms of the drug in their possession.
"The arrests follow our continuous efforts to combat drug trafficking, especially tik, in the province," Steyn said.
Those arrested were expected to appear in Wynberg magistrate's court soon.
