5 killed in Limpopo crash

Polokwane - Five adults and a child were killed when their car crashed into a truck on the N1 near Mokopane on Thursday night, paramedics said.

The truck was stationary when the Ford Icon slammed into it around 21:00, Netcare 911 spokesperson Jeffrey Wicks said.

Two men, two women and a boy aged around 6 were killed. The sole survivor, a 6-year-old girl, was taken to the Limpopo Provincial Hospital in Polokwane with critical injuries.

The truck driver was unhurt.

    To this day 4 years ago my son was involved in a car crash on the N1 in Limpopo and 5 people were killed as well. My heart goes out to the relatives of those victims.

    Sad. I often wonder if people have to travel at night, would it not be better to leave the next morning if you have to work late. I have a B&B and it amazes me how many people with children travel at night, it is such an unnessessary risk.

      @Chum Scrubber - I prefer to travel at night as the roads are generally a lot quieter with a lot less taxis on the road. You do have to be lot more vigilant though.

    if i may ask what is the proper distance to put your Triangle if you have a breakdown??? most i have seen are like 10 meters or so away

    be it however the accident happened,and not that i want other race to be in accidents but why is it that it always the AFRICAN(Blacks)taxi's that are invovled ?
