Johannesburg - Six men have been arrested in connection with the deaths of two initiates at a circumcision school near Carletonville, said West Rand police on Sunday.
"The main suspect was brought to the cops by his mother on Saturday," said inspector Solomon Sibiya.
"He then pointed out five more (suspects) and they also were arrested."
The bodies of the two boys killed in Zuurbekom were found on Saturday.
Sibiya said the bodies of Siyabonga Radebe, 16, and Sello Ntsie, 18, were found wrapped in blankets and dumped in the bush near the school.
Tipped off by teacher
He said the bodies were badly bruising "showing they were severely beaten with a heavy object". Radebe's feet had burn wounds.
He said police were tipped off about the deaths by one of the school's "teachers" on Saturday.
The man told police that the boys, from Orange Farm south of Johannesburg, were dumped there on Wednesday.
A post-mortem would be conducted on the bodies, said Sibiya.
