61-year-old kills girlfriend

Johannesburg - A 61-year-old man shot and killed his 61-year-old girlfriend, shot and wounded her son and then killed himself in Brakpan, police said on Tuesday.
Spokesperson Tommy Tomlinson said the man went to his girlfriend's flat on Monday and shot her dead.
On his way out he was confronted by his girlfriend's son, whom he shot and wounded in the leg.
The man then went back to his own flat where he committed suicide.
Cases of murder and attempted murder had been opened and would be linked to the inquest into the man's suicide, said Tomlinson.
