Johannesburg - Seven people arrested in connection with the murder of a Lesotho businessman will appear in the Bloemfontein Magistrate's Court on Monday, said Free State police.
Provincial Commissioner Amon Mashigo said the seven, between the ages of 30 and 35, were arrested last week by members of the province's Organised Crime Unit.
Four people were arrested last Thursday in Bloemfontein and three in Pietermaritzburg on Saturday.
Businessman Zia Khan was kidnapped in Lesotho in March while driving from Maputsoe to Maseru.
"It is alleged that he was last seen driving with two males, who are also suspects."
Mashigo said the people arrested allegedly then demanded a R2m ransom from Khan's brother.
After a police investigation, Khan's body was found in a shallow grave under a tree in a house in Estoire, Bloemfontein.
The house was being rented by one of the seven who were arrested.
