ANC supporters gather for KZN manifesto launch

Pietermaritzburg - Thousands of ANC supporters have started flocking to Pietermaritzburg’s Harry Gwala Stadium for the ruling party’s provincial manifesto launch on Saturday.

Clad in the African National Congress's black, green and gold, supporters chanted slogans expressing their support for party president Jacob Zuma.

Over 30 000 people were expected at the stadium which is named after former midlands leader and SA Communist Party stalwart Harry Gwala who died in 1995.

ANC provincial spokesperson Senzo Mkhize said national executive committee members Malusi Gigaba and Joe Phahla were expected to attend the provincial manifesto launch.

ANC secretary general Gwede Mantashe and provincial chairpaerson Senzo Mkhize will address the rally.
