ANC wishes Muslims a successful Ramadan

Johannesburg - The African National Congress wished the Muslim community on Sunday a peaceful and successful Ramadan.

"We wish all our Muslim compatriots observing this time of introspection and indulgence peace and success," ANC national spokesperson Zizi Kodwa said in a statement.

"To the Muslim community, Ramadan is the time of reflection and worship in reminiscence of the severe suffering of others and being charitable through fasting and prayers."

Ramadan began on Saturday.
