ATM bombers open fire on cops

2012-02-03 07:22

Mahikeng - Ten people bombed an ATM in Tlhabane near Rustenburg on Thursday and fled with an undisclosed amount of money, North West police said.

When police arrived on the scene the group opened fire on them, said Brigadier Thulane Ngubane. They then fled in a white Nissan bakkie.

The bakkie was later found abandoned next to the Eskom offices in Tlhabane. It had been reported stolen in Soweto on Wednesday.

The robbers were seen getting into a minibus with no number plates, said Ngubane.

No one was injured and no arrests had been made.

Now the cops will be on the look out for a white taxi????? Cops are upset because they were not included in the sharing of the cash, had an arguement, which ended in a shooting. (You notice nobody was injured!)

The police are not respected purely for the fact that a great number of them do not earn respect. The crooks are quite willing to engage in a fire-fight with the cops because they are aware of the poor quality and training in the SAPS. And the metro-Police hide behind bushes busy with speed traps instead of policing the streets. I often see vehicles without number plates.
