ATM bombers shoot at security guards
Johannesburg - Three men shot at security guards and bombed an ATM in Parow, Cape Town, on Monday morning, Western Cape police said.
"Police members on patrol were alerted to the explosion.
"When they arrived on the crime scene, they were informed that three men armed with rifles fired shots at security guards," Warrant Officer November Filander said in a statement.
"Fortunately nobody was injured."
The ATM was bombed at around 02:00 at a shopping complex on Frans Conradie Drive.
"The suspects later fled in an unknown direction. It is uncertain at this stage if the suspects fled with any money, and they are yet to be arrested," said Filander.
