Johannesburg - A 17-year-old girl believed to have been abducted from her home in Lenasia, south of Johannesburg has been found, police said on Monday.
Spokesperson Superintendent Maria Mazibuko said Ayushi Singh was found in Pietermaritzburg, in KwaZulu-Natal on Sunday.
She had apparently been taken to house in the area by two men.
Mazibuko said Singh was last seen on Saturday walking toward a green Honda Ballade.
"She had been in the house with her father. She told him there was a beggar at the gate and she was going out to give him something."
Mazibuko said after 15 minutes the father went out to look for the girl and she was nowhere to be found.
However, investigations later led police to Pietermaritzburg where Singh was found with her alleged abductors.
"Currently police are on their way (to Johannesburg) with the girl. She will be further interviewed to find out whether she has a relationship with one of the suspects."
Mazibuko said it was not clear whether any arrests were made.
