Johannesburg - Three Zimbabwean men accused of killing boxing champion Corrie Sanders have denied involvement in the crime, the Beeld reported on Friday.

Paida Fish, Chris Moyo and Samuel Mabena appeared in the High Court in Pretoria on Thursday.

They pleaded not guilty to several charges including murder, attempted murder, aggravated robbery, malicious damage to property, and unlawful possession of firearms and ammunition.

Sanders, aged 46, was shot killed in an armed robbery at a restaurant in Brits in September 2012. He later died in hospital.

Sanders was attending a birthday function at the time. Some guests were also robbed, and two vehicles were damaged.
