Dear editor,
With regards to the supposedly racial slurs made by Dean Jones during the recent Test between South Africa and Sri Lanka.
I agree that the remark wasn't very tactful and probably a bit unsavoury. But please people, the reaction of everyone was WAY over the top!
The most tragic thing in this whole story is not the remark but the fact that the world is so single-minded when it comes to political correctness.
It's almost laughable! Thousands of jokes go around the world about ALL cultures and religions, and I can guarantee you that the hypocritical Gerald Majola has laughed at a few.
Please, let everyone just be themselves instead of wearing a "mask" in the hope that everyone else will think he/she is an angel.
Don't be a hypocrite!
