Greytown - The popular South African evangelist, Angus Buchan, collapsed on Saturday, shortly after his morning service at his Mighty Men conference.
More than 200 000 men are attending the event in KwaZulu-Natal.
Buchan was taken to the Pietermaritzburg Medi-Clinic by helicopter for medical tests after he had collapsed.
It was unclear what had caused the collapse, although sources said Buchan, 62, had delivered a very energetic service during the morning, wearing warm clothes and drinking little water.
Heat exhaustion is believed to be a possible cause.
Those attending the conference were informed on Saturday that Buchan would probably return to the farm on Sunday and would be back on stage during the day.
Spokesperson Riaan Janse van Vuuren said, "There is no stopping him. He just overdid it this morning."
