Argument over woman ends in murder
Johannesburg - A man has been arrested for killing his friend in an argument over a woman in Mankweng, Limpopo police said on Monday.
The 21-year-old man stabbed Maredi Letsoalo six times at a tavern on Saturday night, Constable Moses Molepo said.
"An argument started when Letsoalo arrived at the tavern and demanded to know why the arrested man was sitting with his lover at that time," he said.
"Letsoalo's cousin tried to intervene, but he also suffered a stab wound during the fight."
Letsoalo, 23, died at a local hospital. His cousin was treated and discharged a few hours later.
Police arrested the man in the area on Sunday morning. He was expected to appear in the Mankweng Magistrate's Court on Tuesday.
