Pretoria - Police had nothing new to report on their search for the prisoners who escaped from the Lyttelton police cells last week, a police spokesperson said on Monday.
One of the seven prisoners, on trial for murder, was re-arrested on Friday in Pretoria's CBD, said Captain Piletjie Sebola.
"The rest are still at large", he said, "but the search is still on".
The prisoners, two of whom were on trial for murder of a policeman, four for hijacking, and one for burglary, escaped on Thursday last week.
They assaulted a policeman, held up four other police officers, and escaped with three stolen pistols.
