Armed robbery at Bizana KFC

2010-03-16 21:50
Johannesburg - Two armed men robbed a Kentucky Fried Chicken outlet in Bizana of R6 000, Eastern Cape police said on Tuesday.

Two men, aged 18 and 25, entered the KFC with a 9mm pistol and demanded money shortly after 21:00 on Monday, Captain Mlungisi Matidane said.

"The police were alerted and they quickly went to the scene. They managed to arrest one guy who was in possession of a magazine for a 9mm with four live rounds."

The 25-year-old escaped with the money. His alleged accomplice told police his age and where he lived. The teenager would appear in Bizana Magistrate's Court soon on a charge of armed robbery.
