Baby found dead in toilet

Newcastle - A woman was arrested on Thursday in connection with the murder of her nine-month-old boy whose body was found in a ditch toilet in St Chads Reserve in Ladysmith, KwaZulu-Natal police said.

Superintendent Buhle Ngidi said the baby's body was found after Mnelisi Mvelase's uncle reported him missing on Wednesday.

The motive for the murder is unknown.

The 35-year-old woman will appear in the Ladysmith magistrate's court soon.
