Johannesburg - A three-week-old baby girl has been stolen while sleeping with her parents in the Eden Park area, Johannesburg police said on Tuesday.
A man and a woman woke up on Tuesday at 05:00 in Palm Ridge Ext 4 and realised that their child was missing from the their bed, said Captain Mega Ndobe.
There was a big hole on the side wall of the shack in which they were sleeping.
It seemed the baby was taken out through the hole on the corrugated iron sheet, but the parents said they heard nothing, Ndobe said.
A case of child stealing had been opened for investigation. No arrests were made.
