Pretoria - Advocate Cezanne Visser, better known as the controversial advocate Barbie, and her former lover, advocate Dirk Prinsloo, are facing charges of indecent assault and the possession of child pornography.
The charges are related to alleged indecent acts with orphans.
Retha Meintjes, deputy director of public prosecution, said Prinsloo also would stand trial in Pretoria regional court on a charge of attempted murder.
He allegedly shot at a suspected burglar at his house in Raslouw, Centurion.
Meintjes said on Tuesday: "Other charges, such as the possession of marijuana, may be added as the investigation progresses."
She met Visser's legal team on Tuesday to discuss the charges.
Visser and Prinsloo were arrested in December. After her first court appearance, Visser offered to testify against Prinsloo.
Meintjes said the State was not considering using Visser as a state witness against Prinsloo.
The couple separated when they were released on R4 000 bail the day before Christmas on condition that they did not contact one another.
At the time, Visser was still using Prinsloo's surname, although they were not married. She moved in with Prinsloo before he was divorced.
Visser caught the public's attention when she enlarged her breast size to a DD and took part in the Idols talent competition.
