Bees card 'user' remains in custody

Pretoria – A 29-year-old man arrested in connection with the theft of Blue Bulls player Bees Roux's credit card will remain in custody at the Leeuwkop prison pending further investigations, the Pretoria Magistrate's Court ruled on Monday.

Vusumuzi Ntloko, of Mamelodi, was arrested on Friday afternoon for allegedly using the two credit cards at several outlets and appeared in the Pretoria Magistrate's Court on Monday on 12 counts of fraud and one of theft.

State advocate Mitric Luphondo argued that the court not release Ntloko on bail as he might tamper with material evidence, particularly at his workplace (Makro), where some electrical appliances where bought with one of Roux's cards.

"There is huge amounts of money used at Makro," Luphondo told the court, adding that some of the items bought had not yet been recovered.

According to the charge sheet, some of the transactions took place within minutes of each other at different liquor stores and meat markets.

Investigations being conducted

Luphondo said investigations were still being conducted into the vehicle used to carry out the crimes.

The bail application was postponed until September 13, at the State's request.

Ntloko allegedly picked up the two credit cards at scene where Tshwane metro police officer Ntshumane Johannes Mogale, 38, was beaten to death, allegedly by Roux, on August 27.

Mogale's body was found in Schoeman Street, Pretoria, with head injuries at 03:00 that Friday. He had apparently pulled Roux over earlier for suspected drunken driving.

Roux appeared in the Pretoria District Court last Monday and was granted R100 000 bail.

Leonard says... @ Luvo,,,,,I have commented often about cases like this. It is only the minor minions within the ANC heirarchy that ever see the inside of a court of justice . The real criminals guilty of raping the country never come to trial.A case in point , look at Limpoopoo.Central government intervention , with no prosecutions ever to take place. That is a fact.
