Bees sting man to death

Thohoyandou - A Limpopo man who was fixing the roof of his house has been attacked and killed by a swarm of bees, a police spokesman reported on Tuesday.

Captain Ailwei Mushavhanamadi said Willie Makasela, 55, was on the roof of his house in Valdezia, near Makhado (Louis Trichardt), at 11:00 on Monday when the bees attacked him.

He was severely stung and taken to Elim Hospital where he was certified dead on arrival.

Police have opened an inquest docket.
