Cape Town - One of the men who was granted amnesty for the murder of American Fullbright scholar Amy Biehl will soon find himself back behind bars - this time for raping a disabled woman.
Mongezi Manqina was found guilty in the Wynberg magistrate's court on Tuesday of rape.
Media reports said on Thursday Manqina was arrested after an 18-year-old woman laid a complaint against him in 1999, claiming he had overpowered and raped her.
Psychologists testifying at the trial are reported to have said the woman had the mental capacity of a five-year-old and could therefore not possibly have consented to sex.
Biehl, studying for a PhD in law, at the University of the Western Cape, was stoned and stabbed to death in 1993 in Gugulethu while driving two colleagues home from work.
