Biker airlifted to hospital

Johannesburg - A motorcyclist has been seriously injured after his bike rolled on the N12 between Tom Jones and Atlas off ramps on Sunday morning, Ekurhuleni metro police said.
Superintendent Vusi Mabanga said the motorcyclist was travelling towards Tom Jones when he lost control of his bike about 04:30.
The bike rolled and the driver was seriously injured. Mabanga said the emergency team struggled to get to the patient because of darkness.
The road had to be closed for half an hour to allow a helicopter to land and airlifted to Union Hospital in Alberton, he said.
