Bloemfontein - The sentencing of Bloemfontein fraudster and thief, Lianné Greyling, has been postponed until July 22.

Businesswoman Greyling was found guilty on 12 charges of fraud and 12 of theft in April this year. She pleaded guilty to all charges in the Bloemfontein regional court.

The charges related to luxury motor vehicles and spares which she imported for clients. An estimated R6m is involved.

Greyling, dressed in a green dress, khaki leggings and brown high heeled boots, looked noticeably relieved when Magistrate Marina Voges granted the defence’s request to postpone sentencing.

Greyling’s defence team argued that they had only received a welfare report on Monday and did not have time to consult with Greyling about it.

The report is expected to play a big part in her eventual sentence. They have also not received a correctional report yet.

Greyling, who wore padlocked chains over her boots on Wednesday afternoon, will remain in custody in the Kimberley prison until sentencing.
