Johannesburg - A ski-boat capsized at the Keimans River mouth near Wilderness on Saturday morning, the National Sea Rescue Institute (NSRI) said.

"It appears that while launching through the river mouth... to go fishing early this morning it had been capsized by a wave," NSRI station commander Hennie Niehaus said.

"All [four men on board] were wearing life-jackets and they had managed to get safely ashore."

Niehaus said they all sustained minor scrapes and bruises.

"They were checked out medically by paramedics but did not require to go to hospital," he said.

The 6m boat ran aground at around 05:00.
