Johannesburg - Two of Kaya FM's well seasoned on-air personalities, Bob Mabena and Ernest "Smoke" Pillay, have rejoined their former stations.
Mabena left Kaya as a breakfast DJ to re-join Highveld Stereo, where he is expected to host an afternoon drive-time slot.
His move comes after a "successful and exciting two-year relationship", said Charlene Deacon, Kaya FM general manager.
Pillay who left Kaya FM in a huff last month has re-joined Metro FM as a stand-by DJ. Metro PRO Lulu Mthimkulu confirmed he will be on air to replace absent DJs.
"Ernest is a well seasoned disc jocky, he knows where Metro comes from and goes," she said.
Mabena said he will be leaving Kaya FM on a good note.
"I'm happy to confirm there have not been any disputes or conflicts and my tenure with Kaya FM has been amicable and gracious.
"Our listenership has grown to almost a million, and it's time to explore other challenges and opportunities," Mabena said.
