Johannesburg - A body of a man with multiple wounds was found next to Jabulani hostel in Soweto, police said on Tuesday.

Warrant Officer Kay Makhubela said police were called to the scene at about 20:00.

"We found that the man, in his 30s, had multiple wounds. It looked like he was beaten using a sharp objects," he said.

Makhubela said preliminary investigations showed that the man had been killed elsewhere and then dumped next to the hostel.

"Last month we found a body of a man who was also killed elsewhere and then dumped at Jabulani hostel.

"We can't say the two incidents are linked but we are extremely concerned that people are dumping bodies next to the hostel," he said.

Makhubela said no arrests had been made for either incidents and a murder case had been opened for the most recent body.
