Johannesburg - Another man has been hijacked by bogus
Johannesburg metro police officers, the second case this week, a spokesperson
said.
Superintendent Edna Mamonyane said three heavily armed
men wearing metro police uniform stopped the man in his Toyota Quantum near
Midrand on Wednesday.
They were travelling in a silver VW Polo.
"They entered his vehicle and drove with him to
Eldorado Park where they dumped him," Mamonyane said.
On Monday, a man had his car stolen on the M1 between
Marlboro and Grayston roads after the officers pulled him over.
They took his car, leaving him on the side of the road.
He flagged down a metro
police car.
During the ensuing chase the vehicles drove into
Alexandra.
The man's car had still not been found.
"We call on the public... If you have a vehicle that
is following you for a period of time, try to drive to a police station if you
are suspicious of it," Mamonyane said.
