Booysens house robbed

2011-11-29 22:44

Johannesburg - Robbers broke into a house in Booysens on Tuesday and stole cellphones, clothes, laptops and computer games, said Johannesburg police.

Warrant Officer Kay Makhubela said police spotted the three robbers in their car in Soweto and gave chase.

They arrested one of the men. The other two ran away, he said.

The 25-year-old man led police to a house where they found stolen computers and laptops worth about R35 000. At a second house, an identity document was found.

The man was expected to appear in the Protea Magistrate's Court on Wednesday, said Makhubela.

Now how come this is news? In S.A this happens in every suburb, almost every minute of the day! If all break-ins should be reported on, especially if there was no violence committed we would not be able to get anything done but read 'all about it'! Sorry for the people whose house it is, but really, hardly news!

I think it made news because the cops actually arrested someone for the crime. Doesn't happen often...
