Boy, 16, drowns in Uitenhage

Johannesburg - A 16-year-old boy drowned in Paradise beach, Uitenhage, on Tuesday, said Eastern Cape police.

Mildali Songongo was found on Tuesday by police divers from Port Elizabath.

"The boy went for a swim at Paradise Beach Lagoon at about 16:30 and suddenly disappeared under the water," said Superintendent Gerda Swart.

The body was found about 17:30.
