Boys killed in North West shelter fire

Johannesburg - Three boys died when a fire broke out in a shelter for destitute children in Hartbeespoort Dam, North West police said on Thursday.

"The police received a call on Wednesday morning at 09:15 about a fire at Safe Haven that was already in flames," spokesperson Brigadier Thulani Ngubane said.

"Three boys aged between 7 and 14-years-old were inside and died. The cause of the fire is unknown and police are investigating an inquest docket. Police would open another case based on the outcome of these investigations."

Ngubane said no one else was injured.

    shame rip little ones. isn't it strange that kids death nowadays is mostly because of fires. the end is near ppl.

      Yes flames can survive water! I was trying to put the fire out and believe me it survived!
