Cape Town - Cape Town police are searching
for a 36-year-old man to help in the investigation into the murder of the owner
of one of Cape Town's best known gay nightclubs.
Bruno Bronn, 49, who owned the Bronx
nightclub, was found dead by his domestic worker shortly before 09:00 on
Tuesday morning.
"Sea Point police [are] requesting the
assistance of the public in tracing 36-year-old John Frederick Coetzee who can
assist in the investigation of a Green Point murder case," Warrant Officer
November Filander said.
Bronn was found on his back on the floor with
his hands tied with tape in front of him. He had marks around his neck. It was
not known whether anything was taken from the house on Ocean View Drive.
The Bronx made news in 2006 when a security
guard at the club was wounded after five shots were fired in a drive-by
shooting in the early hours of the morning. At the time, Bronn denied the
shooting had anything to do with the club.
