Bronx owner's murder accused in court

Johannesburg - Four men accused of killing Bruno Bronn, the owner of the gay night club The Bronx, will appear in court on Friday.

Achmat Toffa, 35, Johan Frederick Coetzer, 36, Fareez Allie, 29, and Kurt Erispe, 32, will appear in the Western Cape High Court for a pre-trial conference.

The men face charges of premeditated murder and aggravated armed robbery, both of which carry life sentences.

They were served with indictments on August 15 after making their final preliminary appearance in the Cape Town District Court.

According to the indictments, their trial was to commence on November 12, and would run until November 29.

Bronn, 49, was found dead on the floor of his home on Ocean View Drive in Sea Point with his hands tied in front of him on February 7. He also had marks on his neck.
