2012-06-24 08:01

Bloemfontein - Fifty eight people were injured, 2 seriously, when a bus overturned on the R26 road, outside Bethlehem in the Free State on Saturday, paramedics said.

Netcare911 spokesperson Jeffrey Wicks said it seemed the driver lost control of the bus which left the road and overturned, eventually settling to a halt on its roof.

He said all were treated and stabilised at the scene and transported by ambulance to the Dihlabeng and Pekolong Hospitals.

Is it near Bloemfontein (per the headline) or Bethlehem (per the body of the report)?

Yes I also want to know!! I think from now on,we want to know ( no we the people) demand to know, the reporters names when they report on news stories. I do not want to see at the end of a story ..SABC,SAPA,BEELD,City Press or News 24 any more...we want to see both. How can we trust you ( News 24) now!!

poor reporting. where exactly did this accident occur? could someone please clarify that because if it did indeed occur on the outskirts of Bloem then I'd assume (because to me, its logical way) that the injured would be taken to say, Pelonomi or Rosepark ? than to wait a good 2-3hours for assistance coming all the way from Beth, which is plus minus 250km away (which, in my opinion, would be gross carelessness and negligence)? Clarity? Anyone?
