George - Wanda Stoffberg, who survived having the letter "k"
carved into her breast by two balaclava-clad white men at her
smallholding in George on Monday, was admitted to a clinic on
Thursday morning shortly after she collapsed at her home.
Stoffberg, who runs a butchery called Vleispaleis on her property was attacked from behind by her assailants, who hit, kicked and throttled her. The men called her a kaffir boetie" and carved the letter on her breast.
Her husband Juan-Pierre said on Thursday night that his wife had not been feeling too well since the attack. "She has been complaining of headaches since the attack. My wife
was drinking tea in the kitchen when she collapsed this morning
(Thursday) at around 11am. My doctor admitted her immediately and
she is currently under observation. But we are not sure if the
collapse is related to the incident on Monday."
Earlier on Thursday, a police detective from Pretoria arrived in George to assist in the investigation into the
attack.
