Butchery owner 'doing well'

George - Wanda Stoffberg, who had the letter "k" carved into her breast by attackers at her smallholding in George, was "doing well", according to her husband on Saturday.
Stoffberg collapsed at her house on Thursday morning and was
admitted to a clinic. Her husband, Juan-Pierre, said that she was "getting stronger", but did not want to say when she would be discharged.
"We have been advised not to give any details for security
reasons," he said.
It is believed that Stoffberg collapsed due to an accumulation of stress surrounding the attack on her smallholding. She was accosted by two men who carved the letter "k" on her chest and called her a "kaffirboetie."
The attack is believed to be linked to the licensing of Stoffberg's butchery which sells meat to a largely black clientele in a elite, predominantly white area.
No arrests have been made.
A police detective from Pretoria was assigned to the case to assist local police.
Senior Superintendent Luke Enslin would work together with
provincial police commissioner Lennit Max and other policemen
involved in the investigation, Senior Superintendent Martin Aylward said.
