CT carpenter strikes it rich
Cape Town - A 31-year-old carpenter's life changed for the better when he bought a lottery ticket last week - and won the R10m jackpot, the national lottery operator said on Thursday.
The Cape Town resident said he had been playing the lottery for the past four years in the hope he would one day win, and fulfil his wish of owning a farm, Gidani spokesperson Thembi Tulwana said in a statement.
"This money will add substantially to the money that I have been saving towards a better life for myself," the man was quoted as saying after his win on Saturday.
"I am really looking forward to an easier and fulfilling life."
