CT protesters disrupt N2 traffic

Cape Town - Traffic on the N2 into Cape Town has been disrupted by protesting residents.

The N2 at Mew Way was closed but then reopened, according to reports on Tuesday morning.

Cape Town metro police officials were on the scene, eNews reported.

The protest on Tuesday morning follows protests in Khayelitsha on Monday, after the City of Cape Town removed 65 toilets in the Makhaza informal settlement.

Eyewitness News reported that the group of protesters are believed to be ANC Youth League members.
