CWU protesters gather in Joburg

Johannesburg – About 3 000 protesters from the Communication Workers' Union (CWU) have gathered in Mary Fitzgerald Square in Johannesburg on Friday, metro police said.

The protesters were expected to march through the CBD, said Senior Superintendent Wayne Minnaar.

The CWU was marching for an end to the use of labour brokers at Vodacom and the release of a financial report by KPMG.
