Cape Town - A Johannesburg businessman has been reported missing by his family, who believe he
may have been abducted at the weekend.
Nazeer
Mohammed was last seen climbing into a black Nissan Navara on Friday morning.
His sister,
who did not wish to be named in fear of her safety, said her brother was last
seen leaving his business on Friday.
“He told
his employees that he would be back in 15 minutes, but never returned,” she
said.
However, on
Saturday eyewitnesses reported seeing Mohammed in Kensington, in a
white Golf with three men.
Police
spokesperson Danie Louw said on Tuesday that there had been no progress in the
case.
“It had
appeared that he [Mohammed] was comfortable getting in to the car, and there
was no evidence of a struggle,” he said.
Louw added
that although the family wanted the case to be changed from a missing to
abduction, there had been no evidence to support this.
Mohammed
was last seen wearing a blue jeans and a black T-shirt.
