2012-03-30 08:53

Cape Town - A Cape Town man has received counselling after he was apparently raped by a man dressed as a woman, it was reported on Friday.

Lieutenant -Colonel Andr Traut told the Cape Times the man, 26, was walking to the Groote Schuur hospital on Wednesday morning when someone who appeared to be a woman approached him in Bouden Street, Observatory.

The woman, holding a purse and wearing a wig and black miniskirt, confronted him with a knife.

The victim soon realised his attacker was male. The man forced him into an alleyway and raped him before fleeing. Police are searching for the attacker, in his thirties.

Leonardb1: I don't know what dictionary you're using mate, but the dictionaries I use have long since changed the definitions (in line the with changes in many countries' laws): rape 1 [reyp] noun, verb, raped, rapĀ·ing. noun 1. the unlawful compelling of a person through physical force or duress to have sexual intercourse. 2. any act of sexual intercourse that is forced upon a person. 3. statutory rape. 4. an act of plunder, violent seizure, or abuse; despoliation; violation: the rape of the countryside. 5. Archaic . the act of seizing and carrying off by force. verb (used with object) 6. to force to have sexual intercourse. 7. to plunder (a place); despoil. 8. to seize, take, or carry off by force. verb (used without object) 9. to commit rape.

@Leonardb1 SA's definition changed in 2007, the new definition being: "any person who unlawfully and intentionally commits an act of sexual penetration, without the complainants consent".

And there I was walking down Bouden Street minding my own business when suddenly I think it's my lucky day. At first I thought it was a strap-on and then to my horror..........

@Leonardb1 Wrong, rape is defined as follows: The crime, committed by a man, of forcing another person to have sexual intercourse with him, esp. by the threat or use of violence.

@Pythogoras - methinks Papa ? is going to be a busy man, judging by the number of comments in this regard! :)

Actually Leonardb1, male rape is not a new thing for South Africa. It's been happening for years. Good on the man for seeking help and speaking out.
